Return to Work Coaching

When a person has a chronic health condition, they need to be involved in the creation of goals which will identify the steps to returning to work. These include participation in home-based activities to practice work skills and to build confidence. Coaching facilitates self-advocacy in the work setting and the application of self-management skills at work and home to adjust life balance as work hours gradually increase. 
 
Additionally, recommendations on work accommodations, ergonomics and gradual return to work plans may be made. Checking-in with the person returning to work throughout their gradual return to work is offered to encourage self-reflection and to boost confidence.
